Framing

Image
Reflection: I thought that the project was interesting. It was semi difficult to find places that had natural framing, could be easier to put together but I wanted it to be more real. One problem that I had was with a picture that would not upload to the blog. I got 4/5 but one refused. I did finally get it, obviously, so that was solved. I really like how the first picture came out and I was surprised at how much better all of the photos got after I edited them. I'd say I enjoyed this project.

Warm Ups

#26 What are your plans for the break? My family and I (mom, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, and two cousins) are renting a cabin in Big Bear over Christmas. I have a couple days to relax and enjoy doing nothing/little things before then. I am going to go down a snow hill in a tube, walk around the little town, possibly go glow bowling, and make a bunch of new Christmas traditions. Such as stringing popcorn and making our own ornaments. Once I get back I am going to go to my dad's house for my "second Christmas" where I get my presents from that side of the family. I am excited for these experiences and hope to have a pretty relaxing break. #25 What is the difference between a shadow and a silhouette? A shadow is the figure on the ground that comes from a person or thing when the sun is on a certain side of them. A silhouette is the actual boy of the person or object. A silhouette just is completely dark instead of having visible details. A silhouette is taken of...

Reflection: taking a large amount of photos of one object, especially from different angles, it helps show a unique prospective. Depending on which way you look at something, it can give off a completely different feel. This forces you to be creative with your angles and sometimes, when changing the focus point, a really cool picture can be the outcome of three object's photoshoot. From other projects that this class has given, I have already learned to take pictures from angles that normally wouldn't be the standard way and to get close to see things that wouldn't necessarily stand out. This is useful for a project like this and I will definitely continue to do so because it makes the pictures more pleasant to look at.

P2 Principles

Pattern Unity/Variety Contrast Emphasis Movement/Rhythm Reflection Starting taking pictures with elements definitely did help with taking pictures of principles. This is mainly because, it provided more time with the camera and to know what you're looking for. The hardest principle, for me, to photograph would be movement and rhythm. This is because, I did not fully understand the difference between the two and barely had time with the quality camera for the subject since  the batter had died when I tried the first time. The easiest topic would have to be either emphasis or pattern. Emphasis is probably the easiest because you just have to make the focus of the photo very clear. Pattern was not too difficult since there are some to find almost everywhere.
