Social Issue
My social issue is one that does not get a lot of attention. It even seems minuscule, but can change the happiness of a child. Of course children get older and generations grow up, they outgrow their toys. The issue is that, shown clearly above, these toys are just left out to rust until they are eventually gross enough to throw away. This issue can be resolved incredibly easily. The simple act of donating these toys once it is shown that children begin to lose interest, preferably after cleaning them a bit. This will prevent clutter around the house, and bring a smile to the face of a child that might not have been able to get something like this on their own.
I actually took these photos in my own backyard. I have three younger siblings at this house. Currently at the ages 4 and 6 (twins), they are growing fast and their interests change rapidly. The "new thing" comes out and it's all the rage. We had kept these toys even after noticing that they were not being played with because, when trying to get rid of them, they suddenly sparked interest. But it needs to be learned that this is momentary.
I believe that parents know their children very well and that they should make sure to keep toys in a good condition for other kids, so when their child no longer plays with them, to know that someone else's baby will. I am going to make sure to get this known and try to help as much as I can. It made me sad to see all of the abandoned, once loved objects laying around collecting dust.
