Warm Up #65 I know your green screen project is due tomorrow. But Google "green screen photos" and look at all the interesting examples. What are some ideas you hadn't thought of? While looking through some of these photos, I saw some that I think would make some interesting edited pictures. Some examples would be, falling into/off of something or flying. I also saw the idea to add wings to the person. One that I am personally surprised I didn't include was adding an animal like a dog. I am still happy with the ones I mad though. Warm Up #64 Do you like the distortions? Do you think these types of photos are classified as "photography," or as "art?" Why? I personally am not the biggest fan of these distortions, but I do think that they are well done. I think that it probably took a decent amount of time to create these, so I applaud that. Reflection: For the most part with these pictures, I just googled and looked at background images and found ones that I thought would fit certain poses. A lot of the pictures I wanted to use were very pixelated though, which made it a bit frustrating. Some difficulties I had was with the magic wand tool, sometimes it would select wrong parts and I would have to restart multiple times. There were a few times that it would not include the top of her head/her hair. I think they turned out pretty well. On the fourth picture, I couldn't get rid of the green between her feet and keep the top of her head, so I left it in and figured out how to fill it in with the colors of the background photo. It was pretty fun once I got the hang of it and I might continue to do it with other pictures.

 Original  Pixelate  Diffuse Glow Filter  Distort - Spherize  Stylize - Trace Contour Render - Lens Flare Reflection: My favorite filter was definitely the Lens Flare, it is such a simple addition, but it makes the photo a much cuter touch. I actually prefer it to the original. I had a pretty good time playing around with the filters and messing with the adjustments to see what could be done with the picture I had. I had definitely confused myself at some points and had to restart, but it all ended up working out. The Trace Contour was a little troubling with finding the right balance of color while still being able to see our faces and the background, but I think I found a decent combination. 

Reflection: For this project, I decided to create a stencil image out of the original photo. I looked around for a while trying to find something that I could accomplish in Photoshop. It took multiple trial and errors, but after finding this idea, I was able to get it done. It was pretty simple, but had quite a different outcome from the original. I had to play with the numbers a bit, trying to make it look like what I had in mind. It definitely required some adjusting, but it got there. I am pretty happy with how it came out, not sure how it could really be improved. The one thing I had trouble with most was trying to balance the light and darkness of the photo. To be able to see the photo distinctly, but not have half of my face be overtaken by the shadow. I think it worked out though.

Reflection: Light painting was definitely interesting. It took a couple tries to figure out what we were doing, you could see the improvements as the pictures progressed. It was a really fun project, and we laughed at ourselves a lot with our attempts. I was told to pose a certain way for the last one and, as obviously visible, I was a bit awkward. One of the challenges was when we started to make shapes out of the light, I came up with drawing a crown on someone's head, it actually came out nicely. We drew hearts and contrasted red light with blue, made waves, and other visuals, but those are in the other group members' photos. I would definitely do this again, it was a good time.

Warm Up #55 What jobs can photographers have? List 5 occupations that photographers can have: Photographers can have different jobs depending on what they like/prefer to photograph or what they are comfortable with. They have even more options if they go outside of their comfort zone. They could be a wedding photographer. Portrait photographer. Take pictures for business promotions and advertising. They could take family photos. And they could be a scenery photographer, being used for postcards.  Warm Up #54 If you could only photograph one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? I would hands down photograph animals, though they can be harder to make focus on the camera, it makes all of the photos taken more real. I have just about the cutest dog ever and I love taking pictures pf him, capturing his happy hyper stages, and his calm moments. But I would not stop there, I want to take pictures of all animals, in the wild or not. Close ups to show the detail...
